Bridge to Brisbane
The Bridge to Brisbane is an annual fun run for anyone interested in walking, wheeling and running across some of the iconic bridges of Brisbane and giving something back to the Queensland community through their fundraising effors. Last year was the 21st running of this much loved Queensland event and they raised funds for charity totalling over $670,000.
We weren't there last year. This year it's on Sunday 26 August. Will you join us on the run this year?.
HFQ has several people participating and you are welcome to join with us on the run. You will enjoy a course that takes in some of Brisbane’s most iconic landmarks including running over the Story Bridge and finishing at the beautiful South Bank Parklands. Talk to your friends and family and get them on board to help us get fit and fundraise for HFQ.
Choose to take on the 5k or 10k challenge and join with the Haemophilia Foundation Queensland Team and take on the challenge to raise vital funds for people in Queensland affected by bleeding disorders. Entries are now open at the Bridge 2 Brisbane website and we are a team entry so please register under "Join a team" and select teamHFQ. Please make your next fun-run effort mean more and fundraise amongst your friends, colleagues and acquaintances to support HFQ so we can support people with bleeding disorders. As a member of our team you will be eligible for a number of rewards and incentives including HFQ merchandise.
You can run (or walk) win any of the 5 or 10km events. To join Team HFQ all you need to do to is register for the Bridge to Brisbane under "join a team" and enter our team using the name and PIN Team HFQ. It will then let you enter in your preferred category. We are NOT in their system as a charity (because it costs too much money) so do not look for us in their nominated charity section. Just let us know once yourve signed up and we will be in touch.
Some of us are runners, but some are in wheelchiars or walking so whatever your level of fitness come and join us in this great fund / awareness raising opportunity for people with Bleeding Disorders in Queensland.
